The Central African womens solicit the support of the international community in the conflict in their country

Bangui, December,28th (ACAP) - The President of the Central Organization of Women (OFCA), Mrs. Margueritte Kofio urged the neighboring countries, the Community of Central African States (CEMAC), the African Union, the Economic Community of the States Central African States (ECCAS), the European Union and the United Nations to provide assistance in resolving conflicts in the Central African Republic, following a march during which a memorandum was submitted to the Prime Minister, Faustin Archangel Touadéra, Friday, December 28, 2012, in Bangui.



The women marched to express their disapproval over the occupation of localities in the north-east and center of the Central African Republic and also the suffering experienced by women and children.

Marguerite Koffio, on behalf of other women she represents, expressed the hope of forming a government wide opening including the different sensitivities of the country in order to defuse the ongoing crisis in the country.

She denounced the incorporation of Sudanese mercenaries, Libyan and Nigerian alongside the rebel coalition Seleka.

Mrs. Margueritte Koffio asked the  heads of state of ECCAS to ensure strict compliance with agreements of Libreville the capital city of Gabon, the preservation of the mandate of President François Bozizé to completion of it as well as the strict respect of the institutions of Republic.

"We urge armed groups to hide their anger, release areas under their controls, go to the negotiations in a constructive manner in order to avoid the escalation of violence in the country, which may result in conflicts ethnic and political instability are barriers to socio-economic development, "she said.

Women's March is the fourth of its kind after the MPs, youth, and forces of the nation.
